Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has been named one of the 20 most innovative digital companies in City A.M.’s Digital Innovators Power List 2016, it was revealed last night.

Compiled by City A.M. and international law firm Bird & Bird, the inaugural Digital Innovators Power List features today’s most innovative and trend-setting companies, which demonstrate the strongest revenue potential, in their respective sectors.

Darktrace’s unique self-learning technology is powered by advanced mathematics and machine learning developed by mathematicians from the University of Cambridge. With over 1,500 deployments worldwide, the Enterprise Immune System is proven to detect never-seen-before cyber-threats that go unnoticed by legacy security tools. Darktrace works by learning a ‘pattern of life’ for every user, device and network, automatically recognizing anomalous changes in behavior and alerting organizations to threatening activity.

“We are delighted to be recognized on the Digital Innovators Power List,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “Innovation is central to everything we do at Darktrace. Ultimately we are bringing a fresh approach to the extremely challenging problem of cyber security. The rapid adoption of the Enterprise Immune System is testament to its ability to radically improve cyber defense, while encouraging digital business.”

“London and the surrounding areas are today the breeding ground for some of the world's most pioneering companies, so we wanted to celebrate that talent and explore how digital is transforming the world around us through this initiative,” said Nicholas Perry, Partner and Head of London, Bird & Bird. “We are thrilled to be able to recognize these companies and develop a network of like-minded individuals who can inspire one another.”
