Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense, has today announced that it has been named in the Forbes Cloud 100, an annual list recognizing the companies leading the cloud technology revolution. This honor, along with recently winning ‘Best Cloud Security Service’ at the Stratus Awards, cements Darktrace Cloud as the world’s top AI cloud security offering.

Compiled with the help of Bessemer Ventures Partners and Salesforce Partners, the Forbes Cloud 100 recognizes the top 100 private cloud companies across all industries and sectors that are redefining the future of cloud computing. The additional accolade of ‘Best Cloud Security Service’ at the 2018 Stratus Awards for Cloud Computing is further testament of the technology’s unique and unparalleled abilities.

We are honored that both Forbes and Stratus have recognized the powerful capabilities of Darktrace Cloud,” commented Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “While there are many business benefits to leveraging the cloud, it also expands the attack surface meaning that traditional security approaches fall short. Darktrace Cloud uses artificial intelligence to detect and stop both attacks and human errors in real time.’

Leveraging AI algorithms, Darktrace enables companies to fight back against the full range of cyber-threats across an organization’s digital estate. The technology easily integrates into SaaS applications and cloud environments, defending companies with cloud-only, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments. Darktrace Cloud empowers over 500 Darktrace customers to feel confident in an era of increasing complexity and advanced attacks, including Addivant, Innovating Capital, TruWest Credit Union, and City of Las Vegas.

The Forbes 2018 Cloud 100 is published online at www.forbes.com/cloud100 and will appear in the September 2018 issue of Forbes magazine.
