Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security artificial intelligence, today announced that it will present a session at the Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit 2022 in London.

VP of Technology at Darktrace, Andrew Tsonchev, will present the session ‘Outcome-based AI Cyber Security—Are You Ready?’ The session will demonstrate the AI-driven capabilities of Darktrace’s new PREVENTTM product family. PREVENTTM, which uses AI to identify pathways to an organization’s most critical assets and individuals by taking both an inside and outside view of the business, is the third product area in the delivery of Darktrace’s Cyber AI Loop.

At the conference, Darktrace experts will be stationed at Stand 101 discussing Darktrace’s Cyber AI Loop, an industry-first set of capabilities which work together to protect organizations from cyber disruption through a continuous feedback loop. Through its PREVENTTM, DETECTTM, and RESPONDTM product areas, Darktrace AI helps organizations proactively assess cyber-risk and use these learnings to continuously harden the defenses of the whole digital environment, quickly identify, and fight back against cyber-attacks.

“While malicious actors are constantly innovating and forging new attack paths, we’ve taken a huge step to pre-empt their attacks before they’re even launched, by leveraging our AI engine to think like an attacker,” says Andrew Tsonchev, VP of Technology, Darktrace. “When it comes to your health, prevention is better than a cure, and in security it’s the same story. Proactive security, what we call ‘moving to the left of an attack,’ is essential for businesses that do not want to risk downtime.”
