Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has achieved an impressive win at the Investor Allstars 2016 event in London last night. In its 14

year, the awards celebrate the successes of the European entrepreneurial ecosystem and draw attention to the risk takers who are creating the global winners of tomorrow.

Following a successful presentation at Bloomberg’s London HQ, Poppy Gustafsson, COO, Darktrace, picked up the award of the night – ‘Europe’s Allstar Company’. Judged by an audience of pre-IPO funds, investors and entrepreneurs, the award recognizes Darktrace’s outstanding growth and innovative offering to the technology industry.

“We are delighted to receive this recognition from Investor Allstars, which validates the innovation of Enterprise Immune System technology for cyber security,” said Poppy Gustafsson. “Darktrace’s rapid global expansion and growing customer base is testament to our unique solution, which helps defend organisations against advanced cyber-threats.”

“Darktrace takes a fundamentally new approach to the global problem of cyber security, and has proven its machine learning and mathematical technology can work at scale, across a range of industry verticals,” commented Stephen Shanley, Principal on KKR’s Technology Growth Equity team. “I am excited to see Darktrace going from strength to strength, accelerating growth across the world.”

With 1,200 deployments, over 300 employees and 20 global offices, Darktrace is one of the fastest-growing cyber defence companies in the world. Using advanced machine learning and mathematics, the Enterprise Immune System learns a sense of ‘self’ inside networks, in order to detect abnormal activity or threats in real time.
