Statement regarding LockBit claims
Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Premier Provider of Public Safety Software Solutions Selects Darktrace
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that Spillman Technologies has chosen to deploy Darktrace within its network.
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Spillman Technologies provides comprehensive public safety software solutions for more than 1,700 police departments, sheriff’s offices, fire departments, and correctional facilities. It specializes in integrated software, including mobile data, field reporting, mapping, and analytics and intelligence-led policing. Spillman Technologies was concerned about protecting its world-class intellectual property and sensitive partner information, as such, it decided to select Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System.
Shortly after installation, Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System technology alerted Spillman Technologies to a fast-moving, automated ransomware attack that had taken over a device on its network. Due to the speed and accuracy of the Enterprise Immune System, Spillman Technologies was able to swiftly respond and mitigate the threat at its early stages, preventing any damage.
Powered by machine learning and mathematics developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge, Darktrace works by learning the ‘pattern of life’ for every user, device, and network as a whole to identify new threats, without the need for rules or signatures.
“With Darktrace, we aren’t fighting at the gates anymore,” commented Mike Wilkinson, VP Information Technology, Spillman Technologies. “Because we have the Enterprise Immune System securing our network from the inside, we now have full visibility and the confidence that our security stack can spot unknown threats, in real time.”
“We are pleased to be helping Spillman Technologies fundamentally strengthen its security stack,” added Rob Sass, Managing Director, North America, Darktrace. “Darktrace is unique in its capabilities to detect new and advanced threats, without requiring prior knowledge about the network in question or the assumed threat landscape.”
