Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Wins 2015 TechCities Award

November 26, 2015

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, was presented the 2015 TechCities Award for its innovative Enterprise Immune System cyber defence solution during an awards ceremony held in London today.

The TechCities awards recognize the UK’s most innovative new digital businesses. This year the awards programme committee received nearly 200 applications.

The judging panel included experts from City University London, Grant Thornton, Knowledge Transfer Network, NatWest, Vitamin T, Tech London Advocates and Williams Powell. The judges honoured businesses in nineteen UK cities that demonstrated ground-breaking invention and pioneering technology products or services at the heart of their enterprise.

The TechCities judges acknowledged the fundamental innovation of Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System and its unique ability to detect in-progress cyber-threats in real time. Based on unsupervised machine learning and mathematics developed at the University of Cambridge, Darktrace’s technology helps companies identify early indicators of cyber-attackers or insider threats within busy networks and take actions to mitigate risk.

“We are proud that our innovative ‘immune system’ has gained the national recognition that the 2015 TechCities Award embodies,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. ”It is a privilege to have built a world-class R&D team in Cambridge, made up of some of the UK’s leading mathematicians, and to see our technology adopted around the globe as a new way of addressing the cyber security challenge.”
