Statement regarding LockBit claims
Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

One of Top Three US Telcos Signs Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Darktrace
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, announces that one of the three largest US telecommunications companies is using cutting-edge Enterprise Immune System technology in order to help protect it from insider and external cyber-threats.
As a major provider of telecommunication services for the United States, the company has one of the three largest wireless networks in the country, and places great importance on the protection of its vast volume of data and brand reputation, amid today’s evolving threat landscape.
The company decided to embark on a four-week trial, during which Darktrace analyzed network, device and user behaviors and rapidly detected highly anomalous activity on a system that managed customer records within the company’s network. By bringing this potentially high-level threat to light early, the company was able to quickly mitigate the risk, before it escalated.
Following the Proof of Value, the company’s internal threat intelligence team determined that Darktrace’s self-learning technology was critical to detect emerging threats on a continual basis and decided to deploy it across its corporate information systems. Over forty Darktrace appliances have now been installed across the enterprise and form a critical part of its overall threat intelligence strategy.
“We are delighted to be providing next-generation cyber defense for this global leader in the telecommunications industry, which is leading the way in using immune system technology in the face of today’s rapidly-changing threat landscape,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “Thanks to Darktrace’s unique machine-learning and mathematics approach, this company can see and identify early indicators of compromise – irrespective of where the threat has originated.”
