Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Wins Gold for ‘Best Security Company’

March 1, 2016

Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System has been named by Info Security Products Guide, the industry's leading information security research and advisory guide, the Gold winner of the 2016 Global Excellence Awards® in Best Security Company for the second year in a row.

The security industry celebrated its 12th Annual 2016 Global Excellence Awards in San Francisco by honoring excellence in every facet of the industry including products, people behind the successes and best companies.

More than 50 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated and their average scores determined the 2016 Global Excellence Awards Finalists and Winners. Winners were announced during an awards dinner and presentation in San Francisco attended by the finalists, judges and industry peers.

Darktrace is the first company in the world to arm defenders with proven machine learning and mathematics, developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge, that detects emerging cyber-threats, without any prior knowledge of attacks, rules or signatures. The business now has over 750 installations worldwide and has already discovered over 5,500 significant cyber incidents in customer networks.

“Info Security Products Guide’s recognition of the Enterprise Immune System further validates our product as excellence-in-class and ahead of the curve. The win comes at an exciting time for Darktrace as we launch Antigena, a ground-breaking development in our ‘immune system’ technology,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO of Darktrace. “At the dawn of a new era where machines fight machines and sophisticated attackers are mobilized, no security team can keep up with the speed of today’s threats. The Enterprise Immune System is the only approach to cyber security using self-learning technology to model a network’s normal behavior, and identify internal threats in real time.”
