Statement regarding LockBit claims
Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace Builds Momentum in Latin America
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, will today participate in a trade mission led by UK Trade & Investment, further developing its presence in Latin America. As a UK cyber security expert, Darktrace will share its pioneering technology with Mexican government officials from the country’s police force, army, intelligence service and banking associations, to promote stronger national cyber defenses.
In Mexico alone, cyber attacks cost $3 billion dollars in 2013 and are increasingly prevalent, growing by 40 percent in 2015. The rise in connectivity, accelerating GDP, and quickly evolving threat landscape, makes Latin American companies of all sectors and sizes especially vulnerable to cyber attacks. However, companies are increasingly aware of the escalating threat and are taking tangible actions to bolster their cyber security platform.
With over 1,000 deployments across the world, and employees in 20 countries, Darktrace is rapidly expanding across Latin America, enabling more organizations to detect threats early using advanced machine learning and mathematics. Having previously participated at events in Mexico and Peru, Darktrace has established a strong presence in Latin America - particularly in the financial sector - and is excited to share its innovative ‘immune system’ across all industry verticals. From Mexico to Chile, Darktrace has already formed several regional partnerships with companies including Anthelia Tech, Scitum and Alkimia Consultores, working in tandem to facilitate growth.
“I am honored and delighted to participate in this trade mission and share our Enterprise Immune System with the Mexican market,” said Neil Goldfarb, Regional Director of Latin America at Darktrace. “After a promising start, this is a fantastic opportunity for Darktrace to strengthen its global links and increase its commercial presence in Latin America.”
