Statement regarding LockBit claims
Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Swiss Hotel Group Selects Darktrace Antigena for Autonomous Response
Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense, has today announced that Sandoz Foundation Hotels, the luxury Swiss hotel group favored by international heads of states, is using Darktrace’s AI technology to autonomously defend its network against sophisticated cyber-attacks.
Running six luxury hotels across Switzerland, Sandoz Foundation Hotels is trusted by high profile guests, including heads of states and government officials from across the world. The premium hotel chain’s network hosts the sensitive data of these individuals, making it a target for cyber-attackers.
We take the protection of the confidential personal information of our esteemed guests very seriously,” said Henry Cornet, IT Projects Manager, Sandoz Foundation Hotels. “Darktrace’s AI technology has taken our cyber defense to the next level. The Enterprise Immune System catches the threats that other tools miss, including ‘unknown unknowns’, insider threat, and supply chain vulnerabilities. What’s more, as a part of the Enterprise Immune System, Darktrace Antigena can autonomously respond to threats, successfully fighting back against them in real time.”
Powered by machine learning and AI algorithms, the Enterprise Immune System works by learning the ‘pattern of life’ of every user and device. The technology then uses this evolving understanding of what is ‘normal’ to detect genuine threats, and autonomously take action against them – stopping, or slowing down attacks before they escalate into crises.
As the cyber-threat landscape evolves in unpredictable ways, it is simply no longer sufficient to stop all known threats at the network border,” said Nick Trim, Managing Director, EMEA, Darktrace. “Sandoz Foundation Hotels recognizes that this outdated approach to cyber defense offers only very rudimentary protection as it misses out whole categories, such as zero-day threats, insider, and supply chain vulnerabilities. Darktrace’s AI technology offers the best chance to defend organizations from within, catching and fighting back against all genuine threats. We are delighted to be helping Sandoz Foundation Hotels safeguard their guests’ sensitive data.”
