Statement regarding LockBit claims
Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Leading Prepaid Card Provider Selects Darktrace for Advanced Threat Detection
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has announced that French payments services company CreaCard has selected self-learning technology powered by machine learning and mathematics, in order to enhance its cyber security.
Founded in 2010, CreaCard is the largest provider and distributor of prepaid cards in France, including the PCS Prepaid MasterCard. The company’s award-winning prepaid cards are sold in 40,000 retail locations in France and are widely adopted by young people, security conscious online shoppers and businesses. CreaCard is also proud to provide a wide range of additional applications, such as touch-free payment, virtual cards and travel/currency cards.
CreaCard places great value on its customer relationships and the protection of its intellectual property, and was looking for a technology that would help reduce the risk to its critical information and protect its brand reputation in the long term. The company also wanted to gain overall visibility of all interactions within its information system and be able to take a more proactive security strategy.
After a four-week trial period, CreaCard decided to deploy Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System, due to its unique ability to visualize its networks and detect abnormal behaviors in real time, as they emerge on the network. With Darktrace, CreaCard is now capable of detecting very subtle deviations from the organization’s normal ‘pattern of life’, and respond proactively to any anomalous activity that is uncovered.
“Darktrace’s innovative, self-learning approach to cyber security is aligned with our strategy of continually monitoring our information systems and proactively strengthening our defences,” commented Philip Aïm, Managing Director at CreaCard. “The Enterprise Immune System appliance was easy and fast to install into our network, and has given us visibility, for the first time, into all our digital interactions. This allows us to focus immediately on any areas that require our attention, and ultimately means that our customers and data are better protected”.
“We are delighted that CreaCard is embracing cutting-edge European technology by selecting Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System technology,” said Emmanuel Meriot, Country Manager, France at Darktrace. “More and more organizations are turning to machine learning and mathematics to help them make sense of their complex network environments, and defend against today’s advanced cyber-threats, and Darktrace is excited to be at the forefront of that transition.”
